The 2024-2025 season has just begun, and the Cleveland Cavaliers are dominating the league. So far, this season has showcased the team's focus, resilience, and growth over the offseason. This talented squad, full of both young and experienced players, has unmatched chemistry on the court. The Cavaliers have a perfect record of 15-0, and fans hope this undefeated streak will continue to grow. This record-breaking start has shocked the entire league, and the Cavaliers currently sit in first place in the Eastern Conference, ahead of the Celtics by four games. Point guard Donovan Mitchell leads the Cavs. Mitchell joined the team in 2022 and has been a key player in their success. This season alone, he is averaging 24.6 points per game, along with 4.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and a 42.1% shooting percentage from three. Another key player for the Cavaliers is center Evan Mobley. Mobley was the third overall pick in the 2021 draft, and since joining the team, he has been unstoppable on both offense and defense. This season, Mobley is averaging 18.1 points per game, along with 8.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 57.1% shooting.
The Cavaliers are stacked with talent, including point guard Darius Garland, who has become a key fourth-quarter player, shutting down opponents and securing wins for the Cavs. Garland is averaging 21.4 points per game, 2.4 rebounds, 7 assists, and has a 52.5% shooting percentage. Center Jarrett Allen has had his ups and downs, mostly due to injury, but he has not let that stop his dominance on the court. Allen joined the Cavs in 2021 and has been a ball-blocking force ever since. This season, Allen is averaging 14.5 points per game, 10.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and shooting 66.2% from the paint. These are not the only players contributing to the Cavs' success. Ty Jerome, Isaac Okoro, Sam Merrill, Dean Wade, Caris LeVert, George Niang, and Craig Porter Jr. have all played pivotal roles in continuing the Cavaliers' dominance. This season has been historic, but the players couldn’t have done it without their new head coach, Kenny Atkinson. Atkinson became the head coach this season and has shown his excellence in guiding the team. As the season progresses, fans can only hope the Cavaliers will continue to win and make history.
